Breathing in Your Grace

Lord, you woke me to these lyrics from Matt Redman’s song Your Grace Finds Me:

“So I’m breathing in Your grace. And I’m breathing out Your praise. I’m breathing in Your grace. Forever I’ll be Breathing in Your grace.”

John 20:22 says–Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”

My sweet child, when you confessed your belief in me, you received my grace. I breathed on you and you received my Holy Spirit into your heart. My peace remains in you just as my Spirit remains in you at all times. Forever, you will breathe in my grace and peace.

Do you know how much I love you? Do you understand how deeply I care about you? I knew you before I formed you. I breathed the breath of life into your lungs. You are alive because I wanted you and created you. And now I make my home in you.

You live because I live. Your heart is alive, because I am alive in you. Do not forget that I am alive. You do not worship a god made of stone. Every breath you take is because of my grace. Every day is a gift from me. Breathe in my grace and breathe out my praise. Be a witness to my goodness every time you take a breath. Breathe in my grace and breathe out my praise before a watching world.

His Mercy Made Us Alive

Lord, today you woke me to these lyrics to “Mercy” by Casting Crowns

You’re greater than my yesterdays
You hold me close today
You’re the Lord of my tomorrows
My heart will always say
Your mercy saved me
Mercy made me whole
Your mercy found me
Called me as Your own

You called us as Your own
Your Mercy Made Us Alive

But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of this grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. (Ephesians 2:4-10)

My children, I called you as my own. You are my sons and daughters. My mercy made you alive with Christ. My grace saved you and raised you with Jesus so that I might show you the riches of my grace expressed in my loving kindness to you. I love you beyond your comprehension. I created you for a purpose. You are my workmanship, created to do the works I have prepared in advance for you to do. Seek me in all you do. I have plans for you. I prepare you for the work I designed you for. I make a way for you to accomplish my will.

Draw near to me, and I will draw near to you. I will strengthen you and give you my wisdom. Ask and you will receive the incomparable riches of my grace. All I have is yours. You have access to it through my Son, Jesus Christ. Your inheritance is secure. Your eternal fate has been sealed by the Holy Spirit who lives in your heart. Listen to my voice within you. I desire a close relationship with you. Develop intimacy with me through my Spirit in you. Spend time with me daily in conversation. Share your heart with me and then listen as I share my heart with you. My mercy and grace saved you. My love and companionship will bless you. My peace will carry you through your trials. My Spirit in you makes you alive in me. I call you my own; you are mine.

I’m Alive

Day 3—I awoke to these lyrics from Matt Maher’s song, Because He Lives (Amen). The Lord put this song in my heart:

I’m alive, I’m alive, because He lives.

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)

My darling daughter, when you invited me into your heart to be your Savior and Lord, you were crucified with me. You no longer live, but I live in you. You have died to yourself; you now live for me. I sent my Spirit to live in your heart. Now live according to the Spirit, not according to the flesh.

You are alive, because I live. I came to give you a full life—a life full of me. Your new life will be complete with my peace and joy. I do not give you peace as the world knows it. My peace is beyond understanding. You may have peace at all times, because I, the Prince of Peace, live in you. Seek me for tranquility, even in the midst of the storm. I am with you at all times. Place your heart in my capable hands. I give you rest for your weary soul.

I live in you, therefore, you are alive. Live for me and find out what true life is about.

God’s not dead–He is alive!

Jesus on cross

“Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen!” (Luke 24:5-6)Stone Rolled Away

It is the first day of the week. You have come to worship me. When you arrive at the place where they laid my body, you see the large stone at the entrance has been moved. You enter to see only the empty strips of linen that once covered my bruised and broken body, lying on the ground. I am not there. I have risen! Do not look for me among the dead. I am alive! You do not worship a god carved out of stone. I am alive, and I dwell in you. You need to look no farther than within your own heart. I have not gone anywhere. You are not alone, I am with you always. Worship me with your songs and praises. Lift my name high above the earth. I am alive—Hallelujah!  Happy Easter!
