Shine like a Star

For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.[1]

My star-in-darknessblessed one, live out your faith in awe and reverence, for it is I Who work in you to carry out My good and perfect will. Shine brightly like a star in a dark generation as you hold on to My word of life. Listen intently to My voice within you and radiate My words of love to a corrupt world. Take every opportunity to refer to Me in your conversations and your actions. Keep My name and My Word in a prominent position daily as you live out your life in peace. Walk in step with My Spirit, paying close attention to His teaching and prompting. Be a light to those who live in darkness. Deliver a message of hope and good news to those held in the bondage of sin. Bring sight to those who are blind to My ways. You are My messenger of salvation. Be a shining star, reflecting My glory for all to see.

Do Not Be Discouraged

Run to the Arms of God

by Sindy Nagel

When discouragement beats me down

I run to the arms of God.

He holds my hand and leads me on

Where others have not trod.

He gives new strength to my tired bones

And hope to my weary soul.

He makes me of sound mind again

In Him I now am whole.

He calls me in His righteousness

To bring new sight to the blind

To release those held in prison

If only in their mind.

I will not fear, for I’m redeemed

And called by His new name.

He healed me and transformed me;

I will never be the same.

The road less traveled has its bumps

The sailing sometimes rough

But still I will press on for Him

Because He is enough.

Inspired by the Word of God:

“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine.” (Isaiah 43:1)

“I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness; I will take hold of your hand. I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people and a light for the Gentiles, to open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.” (Isaiah 42:6-7)

A Labor of Love

Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. (1 Corinthians 15:58)

My dear children, stand firm in Me. There is no power on earth that will overcome you when you remain in Me. Your victory comes through the Lord Jesus Christ. Stand firm in His victorious power, in the power of the living God within you. Do not be changed by the things of this world. Be moved by My work. Give yourselves fully to the tasks I give you. When you work for Me, your labor is not in vain. You will bring hope to the hopeless, freedom to the captives, healing to the broken-hearted, sight to the blind, hearing to deaf ears, wisdom to the simple-minded, life to the lifeless, and joy to the downcast. Because My Spirit lives in you, you will do even greater things than the Lord Jesus Christ did. Do not work for riches here on earth. Serve Me with dedicated fervor building yourself treasures in heaven. Serve Me in humility and I will lift you up. Your home is not of this world, but I have prepared a place for you in My eternal kingdom. Leave behind a legacy of faith, a heritage of devotion to Me. I am the Lord, and you are My precious child.
