Sindy was invited to speak at the Mother’s Day Luncheon on May 11 at Gull Lake Bible Church in Richland, Michigan. Looking forward to sharing God’s message with these women of all ages.
Centerpoint Women’s Breakfast Club 3/16/13
Sindy led a workshop at the Centerpoint Women’s Breakfast Club on Saturday, March 16, 2013. About 30-35 women were in attendance to hear Sindy’s testimony and passionate message on Listening to God’s Voice. Sindy shared how she listens to God’s voice, and encouraged the women who attended to make a regular practice of listening to the voice of God. The workshop was complete with a time of self-reflection and a small-group Bible study discussion on the Holy Spirit. Attendees received handouts on Knowing God’s Character, Discerning What You Hear, 10 Ways to Start Your Time with God, and 10 Steps to Listening to God’s Voice. Sindy was blessed by the excellent response of the women who attended. Thank you for your support and encouragement.
Armed for Battle
My darling daughter, you are right in what you perceive. I am confirming to you, what I have been teaching you lately. There is one who has been chasing after me longer and harder than you have. There is much to learn from her. She has been down the road that you now travel on. Do not be envious of her, except that she is my child and that she pleases me. Put away all jealousy and envy, and replace it with inspiration and the desire for more knowledge. I will give you similar, and yet fresh, ways to write my story and deliver my message. Do not put me in a box. There is more than one way to get my message out, and I need armies of soldiers to do it. Will you be one of my soldiers? Will you fight this battle under my headship?
I do not mean to scare you, but you will encounter opposition. You need to be ready for the battle. You will be victorious because of me, but it will not all come easily. I am with you every step of the way. Turn to me, rely on me. I will be your shield and your sword. I give you my armor. I will protect you. Trust me and lean on me. I am with you always. Do not forget I am here. I will not let any harm come to you. You are of great worth to me.
Gird yourself with the sword of the Spirit, which is my Word. Use it when you are backed into a corner. My Word will get you out of the tightest of spots. Know my Word and use it generously and wisely. I have given you my breastplate of righteousness. It is my seal and sign that you belong to me. Wear it proudly. It will protect your heart. Hold up the shield of faith, and protect yourself from the blows of the enemy. Put on the helmet of salvation. Protect your mind with the knowledge that you belong to me, and nothing will separate us. Prepare your feet with the readiness to deliver the gospel of peace, wherever they take you in this world. I am the Prince of Peace. Share my message with all you meet.
You do not fight against flesh and blood, but against the powers of evil in this dark world. Be ready to stand firm against the opposition. Hold your ground and know your purpose. I will use you in mighty ways. Do not be afraid. I am with you always, every step of the way. I do not leave you alone. I do not send you to the wolves, but they will find you.
You are my daughter, the one I love dearly. Remember, it is I you serve, and no one else. I have planted your feet in my firm foundation. I have rebuilt you to my glory, and you shine like the sun for me. Do not let your light be distinguished at the first sign of resistance. You are ready because you have been prepared by me. I have trained you in righteousness for my name’s sake. You have been blessed to be a blessing. Now go and bless those who curse you for my sake.
I have kept you safe, and protected you during your training. Now I am sending you into battle. Do not be afraid, you do not go alone; I am with you. You have been armored by me. I give you the confidence you need. I am your Rock and your Fortress. Seek me for your strength and your refuge. Do not fear the days ahead. The reward will outweigh the sacrifice. Surely, my goodness and my mercy will follow you all the days of your life.
Go into the wind, and let my Spirit lead you to springs of living water along the way. Drink deeply, and you will not thirst. I am the living bread from heaven. Consume me, and you will never be hungry. My plans are to prosper you, not to harm you. Stay close to me, and I will stay close to you, my love.
Believe It or Not
My child, I have not forgotten you. You have not been seeking me, but I have been seeking you. What keeps you from me? Is is work, hobbies, pleasure, or sin? Do you struggle with something that you are afraid to bring before me? I know your pleasures and your pain. I rejoice with you when you rejoice. I bear your burdens when they are too heavy for you to bear yourself.
Come to me. Run to me. My arms are wide open waiting for you. I am here to help you through your present difficulties. You do not have to travel down this road alone. I am with you always. I will comfort you and give you rest. When you cannot go on, I will carry you.
Let my Spirit refresh you and my words renew your soul. You are the child I delight in. You are the one I came to save. You are no longer deserted and desolate. You are a child of the King. Rejoice in your eternal inheritance. I have adopted you as my child and clothed you in my righteousness.
I will protect you and prosper you. I will give you whatever you need. Do not be burdened by your momentary troubles. I will take care of you. I love you more than you will ever understand. Would you take time to meet with me daily? Your burdens will not overwhelm you when you feel me by your side. To feel my presence, you must know me better. You know I am with you, but do you believe it? Know me by spending time with me. Listen to my voice and read my word. As you come to know me better, you will feel my presence and you will believe.
My Spirit I have given you. I live in you. Fear not, I am with you always. Believe it, or not.
Patience and Trust
“Patience and Trust” These are the words I hear you saying to me today, because I don’t see you at work in the work you have given me to do. I know it’s early in the process. I know I have to be patient. I know I have to trust in you. I know you have great plans. I know you called me to carry out your work for a reason. But I feel like I am all alone in the step I am on right now. Lord, are you working behind the scenes? Are you in this with me?
My dear child, I have never left your side. I am at work in this work I have given you to do. You do need to trust me. I have great plans. Your patience is required also. You know I am with you; I will never leave you. If you feel alone, it’s because you are not seeking me often enough. You may speak to me anytime. I will listen. I will calm your fears. I will guide your steps. I will comfort you and give you my peace. I will strengthen you and uphold you. I will instruct you in my ways. I love you, my precious one. I do not give you work to do and then abandon you. I have been with you all this time.
Lord, help me trust you completely. Give me the patience I need for this process. I am so small and this work is so big. Nothing I do will be effective without your blessing. Lord, please bless the work I am doing, and show me the next steps on the path you would have me travel. I have never traveled this path before; I do not know the way. Lord, give me perseverance. I am in need of daily energy for this task. Help me to remember to seek you for every step, and not trudge ahead on my own. You have a plan and it is good. I want to carry out your will in your way, not mine. Lord, give me patience for those who resist me. Let me always be an example of your truth and goodness.
Sweet daughter of mine, I will give you everything you need to accomplish my work. Hold fast to me and I will hold fast to you. You know me, and you know that you can trust me. I will do what I promised. I am true to my word. I give you the will to persevere. Press forward and do not look back. Keep the momentum and the faith. Very soon, you will begin to see the fruits of your labor. I intend to bless you one-hundred fold. You are blessed to be a blessing. Now go and bless those who do not know me. Bless those who have lost their way. Bless those who persecute you. Bless those who stand in your way. Bless those who have become stagnant in their faith. Stir up my people to action and obedience. I have called you for this task. You are the one I have chosen. Now go and move that mountain. My power lies within you.
Thank you, Lord. I love you, and I trust you with my life. I will muster up some patience. I will wait for you, O Lord. My soul waits, and in your word I put my hope.

November Book Signings
I am sending out a huge “Thank You” to all of you who have encouraged and supported me by purchasing my Manna for Today book and attending my recent book signings. I hope you hear God’s voice and receive God’s blessing while reading the book. Those who are giving the book as a gift are helping me to carry the message to God’s children that He loves them, and desires an intimate relationship with them by means of two-way conversation. Thanks for helping me spread God’s message.
Kalamazoo Gospel Mission
I spoke to a group of women at the Gospel Mission on November 14, and gave them each a Manna for Today book. What a blessing they were to me. They encouraged me as much as I attempted to encourage them. Four women gave their lives to Christ that morning–Praise the Lord for his goodness!
My Dwelling Place
Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your body. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
My Dwelling Place
My child, where you live is not important to me—but where I live is. I make my home in you. If your house is not suitable for you, you may move. But if my dwelling is not suitable for me, I must stay. See to it that my temple, your body, is a suitable dwelling place for me. Do not fill your body with unhealthy food and drinks. Do not overindulge in the spirits of alcohol, but overindulge in my Spirit. Do not be gluttonous with your food intake, but eat only what you need to sustain a healthy body. Is your body fit for a King?
Be careful what sights your eyes take in. It would be better to be blind than to fix your eyes on inappropriate things. Be mindful of what you listen to. The prudent woman filters what she hears. Do not listen to unwholesome talk and gossip. Let them pass by you, and do not concentrate on those things. Most certainly, do not further the rumors by repeating what you have heard. Hold your tongue when necessary, and make sure that the words you speak are pleasing to me. Let your words be an encouragement to another. Build up your sister, do not tear her down.
Run your thoughts through my holy sieve. Take every thought captive, and do not hold on to immoral ideas. See to it that your thoughts are pure and blameless. Discard any notion that is not worthy of me. Live an upright and virtuous life. Others are watching every move you make, every step you take. Live into my perfect will, and enjoy the abundance of the life I offer you. When you remain in me, I will remain in you. Will you honor me with your body, my dwelling place?
Crazy Good
Lord, the work you would have me do causes some people to think I am crazy. You are asking me to climb out on a limb for you, and deliver an unusual message.
A limb, yes, but you are attached to the oak of righteousness. I have planted you firmly in the ground. Your foundation is sure in me. I am the vine; you are the branch. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. You will not walk this road alone. I will go with you. You are not crazy. Do not worry about what others think. Dwell only on the task I have given you. Contemplate who you are serving. Seek me alone for your assurance. Find your peace in the knowledge that I am with you always. I do not leave you to fend for yourself. My light will shine through you in the message I send you out with. Crazy, they may think. A new idea produces much fear and apprehension in those whose hope is uncertain. I am not predictable; but I am trustworthy. I will work in any way I desire. Your obedience is my delight. Continue down the path I have set you on. You do not go it by yourself. I will guide your steps and strengthen you for the task I have given you. Persevere; do not give up. Climb out on that limb and proclaim the word I have given you. You will not fall. I am with you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Trust me to produce the fruit of your labor. I will use you to bring my message to a world that is lost. My words will not return to me void. This is not crazy; it is crazy good.
He Speaks…
My passion for sharing the whispers of the Holy Spirit is the driving force behind the writing of this blog. Each time I sit down to write, I pray that I will hear the voice of God, and that he will use me as the pen he holds in his hand, to convey his message to the world. It is my earnest prayer that the words you read on these pages will bring you comfort and encouragement, as you feel the love of the Father and the Son poured out to you. I pray that hearing the voice of God in this blog will inspire you to make time regularly to listen to God on your own, if you are not already doing so.
As Christians, we all have access to God through Jesus Christ who willingly, obediently gave his life for us to redeem us from our sins. When we confess Jesus as our Savior and Lord, God sends his Holy Spirit to take up residence in our hearts. As believers, we all have the ability to hear the voice of God within us. (See John 10:2-4) It may not be an audible voice, but all of us have the promise of knowing and hearing his voice, at least in our thoughts. This fact alone does not make you or me crazy. I believe that the message God wants you to hear from him today is this:
My dearest child, I love you more than you will ever comprehend. I created you to love you. You are my precious one. I desire to have a meaningful relationship with you. I am with you always. I will never leave you or forget about you. I am here. I want to hear from you, and spend time with you. I will not force myself upon you. I wait patiently for you to seek me.
Will you make time for me? Find a quiet place, away from the noise and confusion. In the silence, you will hear me speak. My voice is powerful, but not loud. My voice is majestic, but not obvious. Do not give up on me if you do not hear me the first time you listen. You will learn to hear my whispers. You will hear my voice in your thoughts.
Sometimes I speak to you, but you do not recognize my voice. Listen with both ears and everything in between. Do not feel the need to fill the silence with your voice all the time. Make room for mine. Leave space in the conversation for me. I have given you two ears and one mouth. Please listen twice as much as you speak. In doing so, you will hear me when I whisper.
My Spirit lives in you. My Spirit joins with your spirit inside your heart. In me, you live and move and have your being. My Spirit and your spirit live and move as one. My thoughts become your thoughts, when you abide in me. It is difficult to discern my voice from your own thoughts, because we are bound together so tightly. Hold fast to me and I will hold fast to you. Practice listening, and soon you will hear and recognize my voice. I love you, my child. Hear me and believe it.
