Lay Down Your Palm Branches

Blessed is the King of Israel.†Jesus found a young donkey and sat upon it, as it is written, “Do not be afraid, O Daughter of Zion; see, your king is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt.†(John 12:13-15)

That’s right. Your king is coming. Do not be afraid, O Daughter of Zion. I am here. I have come in the name of the Lord to save you and give you life. You have accepted me and will spend eternity with me. My heart is troubled for those who have rejected me and my words. For I have spoken only what the Father commanded me to say. On the last day they will stand condemned forever.

I am the light. Follow the light and walk in the light. When you believe in me, you no longer walk in the darkness. You have seen the light, and therefore, you have seen the one who sent me. Share this light with those who walk in darkness. Do not hide your light, but put it on a stand for all to see. Reflect the beauty of my glory in the light of your countenance.

O Daughter of Zion, your king is coming. Lay down your palm branches and follow me.

You are the Salt of the Earth

You are the salt of the earth. I have seasoned you with my goodness. Let all your conversations with outsiders be always full of grace and truth. Season the earth with the salt I have given you. Do not lose your saltiness, and therefore, your effectiveness as my witness. Remain in me and my salt will remain in you. In the world, too much sodium is not good for you. However, my salt makes for a healthy heart. Taste and see that the Lord is good, and then, season the whole earth with my goodness.

All You Need is Love

“And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge–that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3:18-19)

My love, it is good to sit with you again. Thanks for making time for me. I love you beyond words–higher, deeper, wider, and longer than you will ever imagine. The depth of my love for you is incomprehensible. I love you unconditionally, no matter what. You were in my thoughts before I created the heavens and the earth. I designed you and gave you the breath of life. I am your Creator, Father, Savior, and Friend. My desire is that you will know me better. Make time for me as often as you can. Know me more personally and you will experience all that I have for you. There is no match for my love. Nothing else will satisfy you like being in relationship with me. I am what you search for. I am all you need. Seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. Sit with me each day, and let me love you perfectly. You are my child and I love you. Happy Valentine’s Day!

A Long and Winding Road

Trust in the Lord with all your heart lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

My child, do not fret about the journey that lies before you. It may seem long and winding, with sudden turns and unsure footing. Trust in me completely. Cast your cares on me. Yield to me in reverence, and allow me to direct your paths. I will make them straight. I have a road mapped out for you. It is the best route for you to travel. You will face challenges along the way, but I am with you always. Lean on me, take my hand, and I will lead you through your trials. Run to me, depend on me, I desire to be in close relationship with you. Listen to me and I will impart great wisdom for your journey. This is not a race. Do not run ahead of me. Walk with me, and enjoy my peace, even in the midst of hardship. I love you, and I will provide everything you need along the way. You are my child. I am delighted in you.

Enter His Gates with Thanksgiving

It is he who made us and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. (Psalm 100)

My children, you are my sheep. You are my people and I am your God. Bring your songs of worship before me and serve me in thankfulness. I am Lord of all the earth, the Master of all creation. I make provision for all your needs. I am the Good Shepherd and I take care of you. I feed you in green pastures and lead you beside still waters. The bear and the wolf are no match for me. I will lay down my life to protect you. I love you more fully than you will ever comprehend. My love endures for all time.

I am the source of everything good in your life. I am faithful to all generations. Stand together and lift your praises to my holy name. Rejoice in the knowledge that I am the Lord God and I am good. Glorify me with your songs of praise. Exalt me above the heavens and the earth. Lift high the name of Jesus, your Savior.

I have prepared a feast and I invite you to sit at my table. Commune with me and partake of the bread and the wine. My body was broken for you. My blood was shed for your sin. I demonstrated the depth of my great love for you as I hung on the cross in your place. The cross was not the end. I have risen from the dead. I am alive, and I live in you. The gift of my Spirit in you is priceless! Do not take it for granted. I am your life and peace. Rejoice with thankful hearts. Again, I say rejoice!

 

The Good Shepherd

I am the Good Shepherd and you are my sheep. A good shepherd lays down his life for his sheep, as I have laid down my life for you. When you wander away from the flock, I search for you myself until I find you. I call you by name and lead you home. I gather you up as a lamb in my arms and carry you close to my heart. I bind up your wounds and strengthen you in your weakness. I shelter you from the storm and protect you from your enemy. I feed you in rich green pastures and provide living water for your thirsty soul. I know my sheep and my sheep know me. I and my Father are One. When you know me, you know my Father as well. My sheep follow me because they know my voice. Listen to my voice and follow me where I lead you. I will not lead you astray. I am the gate for the sheep. Enter through the gate and receive the rich blessings of a life in me. I am the Good Shepherd, and I will take care of you.

Display My Glory

All creation displays my glory. I have set my splendor above the heavens. The moon and the stars were placed by my hands. I made man a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. He rules over all I have made; everything is under his feet. The birds of the air, the fish in the sea, the beasts of the field, all flocks and herds are ruled by him. My name is majestic in all the earth! All glory belongs to me. Do not withhold your songs of worship. Sing praises to my name. Delight in the beauty of my creation. Do not keep your adoration to yourselves. Do not keep quiet or the stones will cry out in honor of me. Even the heavens declare my glory and the skies proclaim my good works. Glorify the God of creation. Honor the One who formed you. My beauty is your crown. My glory I placed in your heart. Shine brilliantly like the sun. You are a reflection of me—made in my image, so that all who see you, will see me. Display my glory today! (Inspired by Psalm 8)

Child of Love

My precious child, you are very important to me. I do not make mistakes. I created you for a reason; I had a purpose in mind for you before I created the world. You are the conduit of my love. People will know me when they see your loving ways. Love unconditionally as I do. I will empower you to love that way. Remain in me and I will remain in you. Love me and I will love others through you.

Please seek me every day. Make me your first priority. Come near to me. Spend a little time with me. Let me direct your ways. Trust me. I have your best interest in mind. I am only a whisper away. Ask me for help. Share your heart with me, and then listen. I desire to share my heart with you. My Spirit, who lives in your heart, knows my heart and shares it with you. You have access to me any time, day or night, by my Spirit within you. Listen to my voice from within. Hear what I say to you in your thoughts and be at peace. I have so much to tell you. Will you spend a few moments with me today?

Let me love you perfectly, and you will have the capacity and capability you need to love others well. Receive my love in order to give it away. Child of love, you are precious to me.

Your Heart is My Dwelling Place

“Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long. Remember, O Lord, your great mercy and love, for they are from of old. Remember not the sins of my youth and my rebellious ways; according to your love remember me, for you are good, O Lord.” (Psalm 25:4-7)

My child, my love for you is great and unfathomable. My mercy is as from old. I remember not the sins of your youth, nor do I have record of your rebellious ways. I remember you according to my love for you. As I have given love and mercy in great portions to you, so you should be generous with your love and mercy to others.

My Spirit will show you my ways, and teach you the paths I have set down for you. Put your hope and trust in me. My truth will guide you on your journey. Look to me for your direction, and I will instruct you in the way chosen for you.

You are the one I love. I cherish the time we spend together. Seek me first in your day, and everything else will fall into place. Give me your first fruits, and the flood gates of heaven will open with blessing for you. Give me your reverent love, and I will confide in you. Call on me, and I will tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.

You are my beloved child. Hunger and thirst after me, and you will be satisfied. Seek me with all of your heart, and you will find me. You need to look no further than the depths of your own heart; I am there. Your heart is my dwelling place. The living God is living in you. Live not according to your own power, but by the Spirit who lives in you.
