Pursuing the Heart of God – Day 25

Ask and It’s Yours

Dear Jesus, I ask for so many things all the time, but not always according to Your will or in Your name. Help me to separate what I want from what You want. Teach me to seek Your will and ask for the things that are important to You. Lord, help me make the time to ‘be still’ in relationship with You and know that You are God (Psalm 46:10). You will give Me what I ask according to Your will. Please show me Your will and teach me what and how to ask.

A Message from God’s Heart to Yours:

My child, you have not because you ask not (James 4:2). I am here waiting to bestow so many blessings on you, yet you have not asked Me for any of them. Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you (Matthew 7:7).

My wisdom is available to you, by My Spirit, any time of the day or night. You have access to Him 24 / 7. The Spirit of truth takes what is Mine and makes it known to you (John 16:13-15). All I have is yours; simply ask and it will be given to you. The key is to ask. I want nothing more than to give you My wisdom to help you live the life I have intended for you, and to live a life more pleasing to Me.

Make the time to meet with Me in the secret place, away from noise and distractions. Pray to Me. Talk to Me. Listen to Me. Your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you (Matthew 6:6-8). I know what you need before you ask, however, I desire relationship with you, so I still want you to ask. I want you to know that you can depend on Me for all your needs. Ask Me for anything, and it’s yours. But I want to hear you ask. I want to communicate with you. I desire spiritual intimacy with you—face to face, heart to heart.

Remain in Me and let My words remain in you; then ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you (John 15:7). The key is to remain in relationship with Me. When you do, you will know My will. You have this assurance: Ask Me for anything, according to My will, and I will hear you, then you will know that you have what you asked of Me (1 John 5:14).

Approach My throne of grace with confidence. Receive My mercy and I will help you in your time of need (Hebrews 4:16). My Father will give you whatever you ask in My name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete (John 16:23-26). You may experience My joy even in the darkest of times.

When you ask, believe you will have it. Do not doubt (James 1:5-8). If you don’t receive it instantly, you doubt I heard you, or you doubt you will receive it. Wait on Me (Psalm 27:14). My timing is perfect. My ways are higher than your ways. My thoughts are higher than your thoughts (Isaiah 55:8). I know what is best for you, and I know the best time to give it to you. Trust Me. I work all things together for the good of those who love Me (Romans 8:28). I love you, My friend, and I desire the best for you. The best thing for you is to remain in relationship and two-way communication with Me. Keep asking and believing.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, thank You for the confidence that I may boldly approach Your throne of grace and ask You for anything. I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief! (Mark 9:24). Lord, I desire relationship with You also. Help me to make You, and time spent with You, a priority. I want to seek You in the secret place more often. I desire to know Your will, and I respect Your timing. Please give me the patience to wait on You. And now, as I knock on the door of Your heart, please open the door and let me in (Matthew 7:7). In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Prayer:

Father in heaven, thank You for hearing my prayers and for the listening to my requests. Lord, thank You for meeting with me today, and being available to me whenever I make time for You. Lord, I pray for Your wisdom and guidance in the situations we discussed above. Spirit of truth, reveal God’s wisdom, His will, and His answers to my requests. Thank You for walking with me 24/7 so that I may counsel with You any time. Teach me to pray and ask according to Your will. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Romans 8:28, And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

Romans 8:32, He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all—how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things.

Hebrews 4:16, Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

James 1:5-8, If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

James 4:1-3, What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.

1 John 5:14, This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of Him.

Pursuing the Heart of God – Day 23

Trust in Me

Almighty God, I lay down my false sense of security and control, to the One who knows all things and is in control of all things. I trust in You with all my heart and submit to You in all my ways (Proverbs 3:5-6). I put my confidence in Your promise that you will work all things together for my good (Romans 8:28). I trust You with my life. You have proven Yourself faithful in all things to all generations.

A Message from God’s Heart to Yours:

My humble child, I delight in you. In your weakness, you are strong in Me (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). Your life is but a vapor, a momentary breath. The sooner you learn to trust Me with all your heart, the better your life will be. I understand how difficult it is to lay down your life and submit yourself fully to Me. But I will not let you down. I do not ask you to trust in humans or the things of this earth, but trust in My name alone.

I have proven Myself faithful to a thousand generations of those who love Me. I am the one True God, Creator and sustainer of all life. I am capable. I see the big picture, I know the future, and I know what is best for you. I know the plans I have for you, to prosper you; to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). My intentions for you are good. My ways are perfect and just (Deuteronomy 32:4).

Take delight in Me and I will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Me and I will make your reward shine like the dawn (Psalm 37:3-6). My love reaches to the heavens and My faithfulness to the skies (Psalm 57:10).

I am trustworthy in all I promise and faithful in all I do. I uphold all who fall and lift up all who are bowed down. I give you your food at the proper time and satisfy your desires. I am righteous in all My ways and faithful in all I do. I am near to all who call on Me in truth (Psalm 145:13-18). I have shown My faithfulness to generations upon generations of My people, those who call Me their Lord and put their trust in Me.

Trust in Me with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Me, and I will make your paths straight (Proverbs 3:5-6). I will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in Me. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord Himself, is the Rock eternal (Isaiah 26:3-4).

I am the God of hope. I fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Me, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13). I love you, My child, and I will take care of you. I know you better than you know yourself. I know what is best for you and I give you everything you need. I will satisfy all your longings and provide for all your desires. I strengthen you and protect you. My power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

Exercise your faith. Put your confidence in what you hope for and your assurance in what you do not see. Though you do not see Me, I am with you always. I will never leave you or forget about you (Joshua 1:5). The better you know Me, the more confidence you gain in Me. To know Me better, meet with Me alone daily. Listen to My voice within you, as I love you, guide you, comfort you and protect you. Remain in Me as I also remain in you (John 15:4) If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you (John 15:7). Ask Me, and then, trust Me.

Prayer:

Father in heaven, as I know You better and know Your heart better each time we meet, I gain more and more confidence in You and Your faithfulness. In the flesh, many times I default to my own abilities, instead of trusting in Your Almighty power. But when I do muster my faith, and put my confidence in You, I am able to throw down mountains of fear and worry, because I am safe and secure in You. Lord, please share Your heart with Me today, and expose my weaknesses in the areas of trusting in You. Calm my fears and anxieties and replace them with peace and hope found in You alone. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Two-way Conversation with God:

Father God, please tell me what You want me to know about my level of trust in You. (Record the thoughts God gives you now.)

Lord Jesus Christ, give me an idea where I am lacking in trusting You completely. Give me the confidence that I need to put my trust in You for all things. Tell me what I need to hear. (Write the ideas, words, and thoughts that enter your mind.)

Holy Spirit, convict my heart where I lack in faith and empower me to submit myself totally and completely to the Lord for Him to provide for all my desires, wants, and needs. Reveal to me today what I need to do to more fully trust in the Lord for everything. (Journal your thoughts and impressions.)

Prayer:

Dear Lord, my Lord, empower me to submit myself fully to You. I confidently place my trust in You to meet all my needs for essentials and inessentials. Lord, I trust You to provide everything I need and protect me from all evil and the evil one. Lord, You are my warrior who fights for me. Deliver me now from all fears, insecurities, lies, vows, and bondages, and set me free with Your everlasting truth. I place my hope and trust in You. Thank You for Your grace, mercy, peace and love. I love You too, my Lord, with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. Let my confidence in You be evident as a witness in my words and actions. Let me actively live out my trust in You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Deuteronomy 7:9, Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commandments.

Deuteronomy 32:4, He is the Rock, His works are perfect, and all His ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is He.

Pursuing the Heart of God – Day 15 – My Peace I Give You

Dear Jesus, please calm my fears and anxieties. Replace the angst and worry with Your calming reassurance and peace. Help me to know and feel Your perfect peace that passes all understanding. Give me the confidence of knowing You are in control of all things, and You will take care of me and my loved ones. Remind me of Your perfect love and protection.

A Message from God’s Heart to Yours:

My child, do not fear, do not be afraid. I am God, and I am in control of all things (Psalm 103:19). I will take care of you and your loved ones. You may depend on Me for all your needs, in all situations. No matter what challenges you face, I will be with you, sustaining you and strengthening you to walk victoriously through your trials. Remain in Me and I will remain in you (John 15:5).

I am the Prince of Peace. My name is Peace. You have access to My peace at all times through My Spirit within you. The Holy Spirit is My peace I leave with you (John 14:27). Find your tranquility and respite as you remain with Me in the secret place. In the stillness, I will quiet your fears and apprehensions. Be still and know that I am God (Psalm 46:10). I am your refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

Trust in Me with all your heart. I will supply all your needs (Philippians 4:19). Do not doubt My faithfulness; I am true to My promises. Come to Me with your burdens. Lay them at My feet and do not pick them up again. I will carry your burdens for you and give you a lighter load. Take My yoke upon you, for My yoke is easy and My burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30).

Seek Me in all you do. Submit yourself to Me. Come near to Me and I will come near to you (James 4:7-8). I am your Rock and Refuge (2 Samuel 22:2-3). I am your stronghold in times of trouble. Find your confidence and reassurance in Me. I will shelter you and protect you. I will rescue you and uphold you. You are mine, and I will take care of you. I have your best interests in mind, therefore, you may be at peace in your mind and in your heart. I will be with you always, my beloved one.

Prayer:

Dear Lord, I confess my lack of faith and trust in You which is evident in my worry and anxiety. I submit myself to You now Lord, and ask that You change my negative thoughts into belief and confidence in Your eternal promises. I thank You for caring for me so completely. You meet all my needs and You give me the desires of my heart. I may trust You with my life because You are faithful and true to Your promises. My heart and mind are at peace when I am with You. You calm all my fears and worries. I cast them on You. Thank You for carrying the weight of my burdens. I am excited to meet with You now and hear more of Your heart for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Father God, please describe to me how I may take refuge in You. (Record the thoughts He gives you.)

Jesus, please share with me how to know and feel Your perfect peace. (Write the words, impressions, and verses that come to mind.)

Holy Spirit, You are my inner peace. Help me tap into that peace by reminding me of Your work in my soul. (Jot down the thoughts that pop into your mind.)

Prayer:

Lord God Almighty, thank You for sharing Your heart with me now. I am so blessed to be able to communicate with You daily and know deeper places of Your heart. Bless me now with Your peace because I am confident in Your power. You are the Sovereign Lord, ruler of all the universe, and I can depend on You for everything. You have my best interests in mind, and you provide for all my needs. There is no need for wasting time in worry. You will take care of me and my loved ones. I have nothing and no one to fear. You are my God, and I am Your beloved child. What an awesome privilege and honor. May You receive all the glory, honor and praise You are due. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

John 14:27, “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

John 15:5, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.”

John 15:7, “If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.”

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Pursuing the Heart of God – Day 14 – Do Not Fear

Lord God, when times are uncertain and unpredictable, many people, including myself, succumb to fear. Lord, when our world as we know it is shaken and turned upside down, and the future is unsure, what should be our appropriate response? What do we do with our fear of the unknown? Our fear of the worst? Our fear of financial ruin? Our fear of serious illness? Even, our fear of death? Lord, please calm all our fears.

A Message from God’s Heart to Yours:

Look to the mountains, where does your help come from? Your help comes from Me. I AM the Lord, Maker of heaven and earth. I will not let your foot slip—I watch over you and never sleep (Psalm 121:1-4).

Do not be afraid. I am true to My promises. I keep My word. I am faithful to those who love Me. Trust in Me with all your heart. Do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Me and I will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). No need to fear the unknown, because your Maker knows all things. I will guide you and lead you through the uncertainties. Call on Me; listen to Me and I will direct your next step.

You fear because you do not know the future, the outcome of your present challenges. I know all things and I will use all things for your good (Romans 8:28). My plans for you are good. I will walk you through your trials. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze (Isaiah 43:1-2). I am your constant companion. I protect you.

I am your refuge and your fortress. Hide in the shadow of the Almighty; I will cover you and hide you under My wings. My faithfulness will be your shield and your wall of protection. Do not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. No harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your home. I will command My angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. Because you love Me, I will rescue you and protect you. I will be with you in times of trouble. I will deliver you. (See Psalm 91)

I am your Father, and you are My child. I call you by name. I love you and I will take care of you. Trust in Me, and I will be faithful to My promises. Let My perfect love drive out all your fears (1 John 4:18). I will be with you always, even to the end of the age. Find your shelter and your rest in My capable arms. Do not be afraid. I will never leave you or forget about you (Joshua 1:5). You are Mine.

Prayer:

Faithful Father, thank You that even in the worst of times, I need not fear anything because You love me and take care of me. Thank You for faithfulness and your promises. Thank You for your protection and provision. I am so blessed that You call me Your child, and love me so perfectly. Thank You for calming my fears and reassuring me of Your care and protection. Please speak to me now as we meet for conversation. I long to know the deepest places of Your heart for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Two-way Conversation with God:

Father, please remind me of Your love for me. Tell me who I am in You. (Record the words and thoughts that come to your mind as you listen.)

Jesus, how do You feel about me? What is my identity in You? (Write the thoughts and impressions He gives you.)

Holy Spirit, please remind me of the Scripture that will calm my fears the most at this time. (Jot down any words or verses that come to mind as you listen.)

Prayer:

Dear Lord, thank You for speaking to my heart just now. Thank You for loving me and staying by my side through all my trials and challenges. Thank You for reminders of Your promises in Your Word. Lord, thank You for the gift of Your Spirit dwelling in me. It is a comfort that I can run to You any time of the day or night for calming reassurance. Thank You for Your peace even in the midst of the storm. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Psalm 121:1-4, I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip—He who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

Psalm 121:7, The Lord will keep you from all harm—He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

Proverbs 1:32-33, “For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them; but whoever listens to Me will live in safety and be at ease, without fear of harm.”

Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him and He will make your path straight.

Isaiah 41:10, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Isaiah 41:13, “For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.”

Isaiah 43:1-2, “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. Isaiah 54:14, In righteousness, you will be established. Tyranny will be far from you; you will have nothing to fear. Terror will be far removed; it will not come near you.

Romans 8:28, And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

1 John 4:18, There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Roadblock #4 – Worry – The Enemy of Trust

Worry does not add anything to our lives; in fact, it sucks the life right out of us. Worry equals not trusting fully in God. When we donâ€™t trust God for everything, we distance ourselves from Him. Not relying completely on God to care for us, protect us, and provide for us, we detach ourselves from Him and His enormous power. God is omniscient: He knows our every need. God is omnipotent: He is the almighty, all-powerful, invincible Lord. God is omnipresent: He never leaves us; Heâ€™s always with us. God is the All-Sufficient One: He is enough. God is trustworthy: He will do what He promises.

God does not ask us to have blind faith and complete trust in a human being. He does ask us to put our trust and confidence in Him alone. We can rest in the assurance that He will take care of us. He is the Most High God. He is dependable, reliable, and faithful.

Jesus said, â€œTherefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? …Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?â€ (Matthew 6:25, 27). Proverbs 3:5-6 says, â€œTrust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.â€ God wants us to be completely dependent on Him for everything. Not depending on God and trusting in Him completely may put distance between Him and you.

God loves children and speaks to them. Perhaps He does so because children are more dependent. Are you approaching God as a child? Are you dependent on Him? Remember the story of the boy Samuel? After God had spoken to him, Samuel didnâ€™t question God; he listened and obeyed. (See 1 Samuel 3 for the whole story.) God spoke to the boy because he practiced humility and willingly served the Lord. He did not have preconceived ideas about how God would talk to him. Samuel did not practice the freedom of self-sufficiency. He enthusiastically listened to God however God chose to speak to him, and then he obeyed.

This story offers encouragement. God speaks to people of all ages and all spiritual maturity levels. He doesnâ€™t stop calling you just because you donâ€™t recognize Him. He keeps pursuing you until you learn the sound of His voice. He will speak to you when you are still and ready to listen.

And yet, hearing Him is not enough. God looks for people who are dependent on Him, ready to listen to and obey Him. When we practice our independence and do what we please, God may choose not to speak to us. Depending on God and obeying His lead will keep the doors of communication open between you and the Lord.

To hear Godâ€™s voice, you must become like a child: humble, with a simple faith and reverence for the Lord. In Matthew 18:3, Jesus says, â€œI tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.â€ In Mark 10:15, Jesus says, â€œI tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.â€

Become like a child and surrender to the work and power of the Holy Spirit within you. Trust God, and depend on Him for everything. Walk in submission to God by being sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit and acting in obedience to His instruction.

Trusting in the Lord, rather than in ourselves and others, proves to be the most stress-free way to live. Giving our cares over to God, Who controls all things, prevents us from being stifled in our spiritual growth by depending on our own limited understanding. Put your trust in God today, and acknowledge His supreme influence, power, and authority in your life. Permit yourself to relinquish all control and worry to the One who rules and reigns over everything on earth and in heaven. Let Me Direct Your Path

My dear one, it is so good to speak with you again. Thank you for spending this time with Me. I desire to sit with you every day and connect in conversation with you again. I desire to direct your days, to minister to you, to educate you, to prepare you, and to motivate you to carry out My work. I want to fill you with My goodness, relay My thoughts to you, fill you with My wisdom, and help you appreciate My presence in your life. I am with you always.

You may speak to Me any time. However, I do appreciate when you start your day spending time with Me. It shows Me that you are trying to make Me your first priority. It shows Me that you are eager to know My will and plan for your life. It warms My heart to know that you care enough about Me to give up a little sleep. I am blessed by meeting with you in the morning, before you begin your day with your own plans.

Your plans may be good, but they may not be My best for you. My ways are higher than your ways. My thoughts are higher than your thoughts. I see the future. I know the past. I see all and know all. It is in your best interest to seek Me first, before you set out to accomplish anything. Do not run ahead in a direction I have not prepared for you. When you do, you may encounter snares, traps, conflicts, and barriers. But when you run the race I have marked out for you, everything you come up against has been ordained by Me.

On My path, any trials you face have been allowed by Me. It is My goal to mature you spiritually. In order to accomplish this, sometimes I have to get your attention. Seek first My kingdom and My righteousness. I use all things for your good, to get your attention, to challenge your faith, to increase your trust in Me, to refine your character, and to return you to Myself.

“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, and will bring you back from captivity.” (See Jeremiah 29:11-14)

You have been held in captivity by the things of this world. Seek Me with your whole heart again, and you will find Me. Call upon Me, come and pray to Me, and I will listen. I am the Lord. I am your Lord. I know what is best for you, and I want to guide you on the path I have planned out for you. Please seek Me first, before everything else, and then listen for My voice within throughout the day. I am with you always. You have access to Me at all times. I love you, My child. Let Me direct your path.

Three Gifts for Christmas

Great things come in threes. God gives Christ followers many awesome gifts, too numerous to mention here, but the greatest are these three: 1) God the Father, 2) Jesus the Son, and 3) God the Holy Spiritâ€”a.k.a. the Trinitarian, Three-In-One God.

God, the Father, sent His One and Only Son, Jesus Christ, to earth to: 1) be born of a virgin, 2) walk the earth in the flesh as a man, and 3) die on the cross as a sacrificial lamb of atonement for the sins of all people. Jesus was buried in a borrowed tomb. He descended into hell to bear the punishment for all our sins. Three days later, God: 1) raised Jesus from the dead, 2) seated Him next to Himself at His right hand, and 3) placed all things under His feet, appointing Jesus to be head over everything (Eph. 1:22).

Matthew narrates the Christmas story highlighting the visit from the Magi in Matthew 2:9-11,

After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the Child with His mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.

Again, the number three triumphs. The wise men from the east bowed down and worshiped the Christ child. They presented Him with three treasured gifts: 1) gold, 2) incense, and 3) myrrh.

As you honor Jesus this Christmas by giving gifts to family and friends, bosses and co-workers, employees and charities, think about what three gifts you could present directly to the Christ child. Will it be,

1)Â Â Â Â love, obedience, and trust,

2)Â Â Â Â glory, praise, and worship, or

3)Â Â Â Â tithes, offerings, and service?

Whatever you decide, you canâ€™t out-give God. He already demonstrated the great depth of His love for you by giving the ultimate giftâ€”the birth and death of His Son, Jesus Christ, as payment for your sin.

Perhaps you could honor the Christ child today with these three gifts: 1) your time, 2) your attentiveness, and 3) your discerning ears.

1)Â Â Â Â Make TIME to BE STILL with God today.

2)Â Â Â Â Escape the crowds and noise, and FOCUS your attention on Him only.

3)Â Â Â Â LISTEN to the still, small voice of the Holy Spirit within.

God loves you more than you will ever comprehend. He wants to spend time with you, showing you and telling you. In your quiet time with Jesus today, bow down and worship the King on His birthday. Present Him with your three gifts: 1) time, 2) attentiveness, and 3) listening ears. It is better to give AND receive JESUS.

Find Your Way in Me

The Lord has established His throne in heaven, and His kingdom rules over all (Psalm 103:19).

Blessed one, I am your Creator and you are the crown of My creation. You reflect My glory. I adopted you as My very own child. You belong to Me.

I established My throne in heaven and My kingdom rules over all. I am the God of your father and his father before him. My power and authority ruled over all the generations before you and will continue to rule over all generations to come.

I will shepherd you as My sheep. I will gather you in My arms and carry you close to My heart. I will gently lead you down paths already marked out for you. You will listen to Me and follow Me because you know My voice. My ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

I am the Most High; the Sovereign Lord of the universe, ruler of everything in heaven and on earth. I rebuke the wind and the waves. I protect you in the storm. Now rest in Me; I am in control of all things. Trust in Me; I keep My promises. Rely on Me; your strength and power come from Me alone.

You are My child whom I love deeply. Drink from the depths of My love and find your way in Me.

With snares on either side

Take My hand; I’ll lead you on

I AM your strength and guide.

When challenges present themselves

To walk you through your day.

When sorrow strikes and grief sets in

I’ll hold you in My loving arms

Your strength I’ll always be.

When sin is knocking at your door

Asking you to play

Call on Me, I’ll give you strength

There is a better way.

When hope is gone and your heart feels weak

You need a loyal friend

I AM your ever-present strength

I AM faithful to the end.

When you’re all alone and gripped with fear

Of some impending threat

I am your Fortress and your Shield

That truth, do not forget.

When the task at hand is much too large

For you to do yourself

I AM the One who gets you through

Trust Me to give you help.

You can do everything

His Way is Best

This is what the Lord says—your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.” (Isaiah 48: 17)

You may spend time going your own way, following your own desires. You may enjoy a good life; however, it may not be My best for you. Listen to My voice. I will instruct you and show you the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you. Hear My words. I will teach you what is best for you, I will direct you in the way you should go. When you pay attention to My commands, you will experience peace like a river. Delight yourself in Me and I will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Me; trust in Me and I will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Be still before Me and wait patiently for Me. I am delighted in the way I make for you; your steps I make firm. Though you stumble, you will not fall, for I uphold you with My hand. I am with you always. Do not fear the way unknown, for it is not unknown to Me. I will direct your steps. My Word will be a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path. You know My voice. Listen and follow.
