Dearest Daughters of Mine–

You are worth far more than rubies

Daughters of the King you are

I walk beside you daily, and still,

I admire you from afar.

You rise up early in the morning

To feed those who live in your house

The dear ones you love lack nothing

Happy and blessed is your beloved spouse.

You bring him good not harm

All the days of your married life

Through thick and thin, feast or famine

Smooth sailing or struggles and strife.

You work eagerly with tired hands

To provide clothing, food, and fun

You speak with praise and wisdom

Good instruction is on your tongue.

Not a minute do you sit idly by

Watching the homeless on the street

You invite the stranger to dinner

And give him something to eat.

Your hand goes out to the needy

You open your arms to the poor

Understanding in your generosity

God will always provide you with more.

Many women do noble things

But you surpass the many

Your work may not get noticed

And “Thanks†you may not get any.

But I see what you do each day

From years past and from lately

I notice every move you make

I will remunerate you greatly.

Your children arise and call you blessed

Your husband praises you too

You are a woman who fears the Lord

I will reward you in all you do.

You are my dearest daughters,

I am delighted in all your ways

Your heavenly Father wishes you all

The happiest of Mother’s Days!
